hi, my name is evan wiley smith. i am originally from birmingham, alabama and now live in baltimore, maryland. this is my personal portfolio of photography. i have been taking pictures for more than a decade, predominantly in the deep south, but in other places, as well. recently, i have primarily been shooting film, so you will likely see more of that in my portfolio in the future.
while i do not take on many TFP collaborations, i would be happy to talk with you about a project you are interested in working with me on, or just about my photographs in general. don't hesitate to reach out.

whether you need professional headshots, a new profile picture, or just want to explore your personal style in a supportive environment, a portrait session helps you represent yourself in the best light. serious, casual, or conceptual -- i look forward to working with you.
over two hours (or more), we will shoot several looks in one or two locations. style yourself or collaborate with me to create a beautiful set of photographs that you will love. starting at $300. each additional hour $125. fifty percent deposit required.

delivered: approximately 25-40 finished images in a two hour session
engagements, couples, & friends
let me document your love, romantic or platonic! in a two hour session, we can shoot in one or two locations. i can take the lead or we can hang out and make it more laid-back. it's your story, i'm just capturing it.

starting at $500. each additional hour $150. fifty percent deposit required.

while my rates may vary greatly depending on the nature of the assignment, i do offer a base hourly rate of $150 per hour for general projects. fifty percent deposit required.
if you are a non-profit working for the greater good, please reach out to me for heavily discounted photo coverage.

additional costs & notes on pricing
any shoot booked with me can be shot completely or partially on film for an additional cost. help keep film alive by requesting film as part of your booking. all of my film is processed by indie film lab in montgomery, al.
i am happy to provide professional prints of your images for an additional cost. prints are made by miller's lab. please don't print your own photos. it's not only seriously uncool, but it's copyright infringement.
when my schedule allows, i am always willing to travel for work with costs covered.
just a note on pricing:
when you book any photographer, their rate covers much more than just the time you are together. it includes travel to and from your shoot, the time shooting, and time editing.
please pay people for their work. exposure doesn't pay bills. if you cannot afford to work with me - talk to me - we can probably work something out. if you'd still rather your friend do it for free, i support that decision.
